Colleen Ermen House provides services, support, job training, and life skills (rehabilitation back into society) to offenders. Colleen Ermen House formerly known as Cannell House has been under contract with CSC (Correctional Services of Canada) since 1997.

Safe Housing and Support

Colleen Ermen House is a community residential facility for male offenders on parole aiding in their transition back into society and their communities. Ermen House is a full-time facility under contract by Correctional Services Canada under 24-hour on site supervision, programming, and general support for safe reintegration. Ermen House brings an individualized approach to their rehabilitation process with ability to build client specific life skills, substance abuse, employment and/or crisis counselling rehabilitation plans uniquely designed for each client.

Eligibility and Access

Eligibility for admission to Colleen Ermen House is determined on a case-by-case basis, with a strong emphasis on minimizing risk and upholding public safety. Each case is reviewed weekly by representatives from the Correctional Service Canada, Colleen Ermen House, and RCMP. Admission decisions are made based on several factors, including the individual's progress in addressing contributing factors, their assessed level of risk, availability of community support, and the support of their Case Management Team.
